Our laundry services in Cincinnati offer more than care; they offer a sense of belonging, dignity, and peace.
Every visit to Mary Magdalen House is a chance to start fresh. Through hygiene support, private showers, and full laundry services, we provide more than clean clothes. We offer comfort, consistency, and care to people who are unsheltered across Cincinnati.
There are seven private showers for men, and four private showers for women continuously available at Mary Magdalen House. There are also private toilets and vanities for grooming. Mary Magdalen House also offers our guests all the toiletries they need to shower or shave, including soap, shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, combs and deodorant.
We aim to provide everything needed to shower well, as if our guests had their own homes.

Mary Magdalen House offers our guests fresh laundry services and clothing replacements.
The laundry facilities are operated by the staff and volunteers, and are continuously running during our hours of operation. Guests may leave one set of their personal laundry to be washed and available for the next day.

Please note: We are first and foremost a shower house. You have to take a shower in order to have one single outfit washed.

A phone is available for public use, and we take messages.
Additionally, mail services are available to guests once they have registered with us and signed our mail agreement.
Once registered, guests can also use our address to obtain state IDs and other documents.

Our mobile unit is designed to remove barriers and expand access to essential hygiene services.
Our mobile unit is equipped with three private bathrooms with toilets, sinks, and showers, a laundry unit, ADA accessibility, and on-site resource navigation and support. We are raising $500K to get our services on the road in 2026!

If there’s a need we can’t meet, we connect guests to organizations that can.
We offer a variety of additional resources, such as bus passes, long-term storage, and care packages (depending on each guest’s eligibility). In cases where something is beyond our scope, we have an on-site coordinator who is more than happy to refer guests to housing, health, and other resources, and support them through the process.
